I know this post could be as long as a book, but with no intention to produce a complete list of all possible ideas and ways to work from home and make a good income, I wanted to share some personal tips and ideas in Internet Marketing. These are all in my opinion key issues for a successful business, but are sometimes forgotten.
To be seen online you have to learn about attraction marketing and personal branding. It’s really a more simple task than you might think. It’s about being you and show it to the market. Some people tend to think that they have to create a virtual person to attract potential customers, but that will bite them in the end. Think about who you are. What are your strengths and skills. Ask your friends what they like about you (if they do!). Focus on your positive sides and things that gives you an edge, or make you stand out. And always remember to be honest. To be YOU! There is really a lot to read about this issue. One of the gurus are Mike Dillard, and his book Magnetic Sponsoring is a must read.
When you do your work from home, you are often dealing with several platforms. Make sure that all your marketing platforms like Facebook, Twitter, blog and others really gives a clear picture of you. And speaking of picture, never publish anything without showing a good picture of yourself. If you don’t trust yourself enough to show yourself, who else will?
My next advice about work from home is to focus! It may sound like a simple and unnecessary advice, but in my opinion it’s one of the most important and maybe difficult tasks. And why is that? Well, here’s an example; you are using one of the more popular list builders, and many times that involves receiving tons of offers from colleagues and competitors. Many of them really sounds reliable and some of them will attract YOU. I don’t say that their offer will not work, I just say that with every new program or product you join, you will have to share your focus (and time) on something new. And your primary business will suffer!
Another aspect of focusing is the frustration that always enter when your results are low or delayed. If you think you can improve that situation by changing to another program while leaving your primary program you are lost. Consistency is the key. Do not expect success as quick as it was showed in the ad. If you stay focused during a longer time, the chance of success will definitely increase.
Learning and training is my next bullet! Here’s a personal point that concerns all with the intention of becoming professionals. There are many MLM programs where all you have to do is sign in, pay up and try to get as many people as possible to your downline. And of course it takes some skill to do that too, but it’s not really that challenging. But if you are planning to become a Internet Marketing Professional and do your work from home, it’s really important to learn all aspects of online marketing. And by learning from scratch, you will be able to adapt your skills not only online, but also for an offline business with some minor differences.
